Student-led Community Project: A journey of solidarity for the beloved Central and Central Highlands regions
Nội dung bài viết
With the desire to share the hardships faced by people in the Central and Central Highlands regions following the severe losses caused by floods, and in response to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, #HomeOfTheEagles proactively launched a meaningful fundraising initiative to help people in disaster-affected areas recover and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
As part of the campaign, the students organized food stalls featuring a variety of familiar treats such as panna cotta, tiramisu, Milo drinks, cookies, and seaweed snacks to raise funds for the cause. The activity received enthusiastic participation from students and strong support from Parents, helping to spread humanitarian values throughout the PennSchool community while providing students with a practical lesson in compassion and social responsibility.

From planning and task allocation to preparation and operation, the food stalls were carried out with great care by #HomeOfTheEagles. Sharing his experience, student Bui Minh Triet said: “About 20 minutes before recess, we had everything prepared, utensils and food ready to welcome the first students who came to buy. Each member took on a specific role, and everyone was enthusiastic and worked together seamlessly. As a result, in just about 15 minutes, nearly all the food items were sold out. Since there were still a few portions left toward the end of recess, we decided to walk around the campus to sell them. At first, walking around and calling out loudly to invite students and teachers to buy made me feel a bit shy, but that feeling quickly disappeared when I received such warm and enthusiastic responses from everyone. Through participating in this activity, we not only practiced teamwork and communication skills while organizing a community project, but also had the chance to bond more closely with our friends. Working together and sharing the joy of this charitable activity helped me clearly feel the strong connection among the members. We see each other as a family, and to me, that is the most meaningful thing this campaign has brought.”
Through this meaningful initiative, the PennSchool community raised a total of 37,973,000 VND. The entire amount was promptly transferred by the School to the Vietnam Fatherland Front on November 28, 2025, to provide timely support for people affected by natural disasters. Tran Le Phuong Linh shared: “I feel very happy knowing that each item sold contributed a little more love to send to people in the Central and Central Highlands regions. After this fundraising activity, I realized that helping others does not necessarily require grand actions; it simply needs to come from a sincere heart. This project taught me valuable lessons about unity, sharing, and each individual’s sense of responsibility toward the community. When everyone joins hands, even small actions can create something truly meaningful. This journey of solidarity for the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions has left me with many unforgettable emotions. I hope that in the future, I will have more opportunities to continue participating in charitable activities to support those in difficult circumstances.”

Sharing the same perspective, Nguyen Xuan Nhi also expressed her heartfelt reflections after taking part in the project: “Through this fundraising activity to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions, my friends and I learned many meaningful lessons – lessons about unity, compassion, and responsibility toward the community. The money we raised is a crystallization of love, representing the heartfelt care that the PennSchool community wishes to send to people in the Central and Central Highlands regions, with the hope that they will soon overcome their difficulties and restore their lives. This fundraising activity left me with deep emotions and many cherished memories. It helped us understand that as long as each person contributes a little effort and a little sharing, we can create tremendous strength. We believe that with the collective support of the entire PennSchool community, people in the Central and Central Highlands regions will soon overcome the challenges caused by natural disasters and move toward a brighter future.”
“Like a red silk cloth covering and protecting a mirror
People of the same country must love and care for each other.”
Embodying the spirit of unity and sharing reflected in this proverb, #HomeOfTheEagles in particular and the PennSchool community as a whole will continue to walk alongside the development of the wider community, striving toward a happy and prosperous Vietnam.
