The magical world in books always attracts all students. Not only spending time reading books, there were a lot of activities that students could participate in during Book week.
In the Book week, students from Pre-grade 5 had a chance to read many familiar books in different ways. Not only listening the story, #HomeOfTheEagles had a chance to review and answer relevant questions and told the story in their own way.
#HomeOfTheEagles had a reading class at the library and shared their point of view about main characters, the book and what they like in that book through the Book review corner. This is also the best way for students to learn from each other and find out the must-read books from their friends’ reviews.
The book week of students from grade 6-12 finished with many impressive collections. Based on friendly books like Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass of Nguyen Nhat Anh or Sherlock Holmes of Arthur Conan Doyle, each class had developed their ideas to decorate the private book cover. With the same book, each class chose different images and materials to make their own style. The award for the best book cover, the cosplay has been gifted for worthy classes and students.
Books always give us useful knowledge, nurture our life experience through the authors’ point of view. Not just reading, students should choose the suitable books based on their age, purpose as well as applying the effective reading methods.
The book week has finished and students found out the applicable method to nurture their knowledge and inspire the reading culture in PennSchool’s community.
