Emotions Burst from Impressive Victory at the Vietnam VEX Robotics Championship 2024

The journey to conquer the Southern Region – Vietnam VEX Robotics Championship 2024 has brought countless emotions to PennSchool’s teams, and it soared higher when #HomeOfTheEagles received the “golden ticket” to participate in the Final Round of VEX Robotics World Championships in the USA in May 2024.

At this competition, the PENN Mi Y Team brought home impressive achievements:
– Won the High School Robot Skills Challenge Championship and Excellence Award in the High School category.
– Ranked Top 3 in the Alliance Head-to-Head matches.
– Along with the PENN Mi Goi Team, ranked Top 5 in the Alliance Head-to-Head matches and Top 4 in the Robot Skills Challenge.

Duong Kien Quoc – a member of the PENN Mi Y Team – was full of emotions at this impressive achievement.

“When the name PENN Mi Y Team was announced as the champion at the Vietnam VEX Robotics Championship 2024, my heart was filled with indescribable happiness and pride. The feeling of being recognized for our efforts and hard work was truly amazing. We were extremely excited and proud of what we had achieved in the competition.

The combination of thorough preparation and team spirit helped us overcome every challenge, securing a glorious victory against tough opponents. The competition was not only an opportunity for us to learn and develop skills but also a meaningful and precious experience.

Being granted the golden ticket to the VEX Robotics World Championship is truly a great honor, marking a new milestone in our journey. Currently, the entire team is focusing on building up our strengths and addressing our weaknesses, studying potential opponents, and developing new strategies to deal with them. I believe that this careful preparation will help us succeed in the upcoming significant rounds.

Similar to Kien Quoc, the success in conquering the Southern Region – Vietnam VEX Robotics Championship has also brought great happiness to Minh Thao after all their team’s hard work.

“Our team’s victory at the Vietnam VEX Robotics Championship 2024 was an incredible moment! The joy and pride we felt reflected the countless hours we spent designing, building, and programming our robot. During the past winter and Tet break, instead of relaxing, we found ourselves spending time researching techniques, discussing strategies, and working on upgrading our robot. Although not always successful, those unforgettable memories helped to strengthen our team spirit. The cheers heard when winning the competition, the laughter during practice sessions, and birthday surprises all contribute to solidifying our bond.

Winning the Nationals wasn’t just an honor; it propelled us to the prestigious VEX Robotics World Championship in the USA! It’s a tremendous challenge, but we are ready to face it together.

This journey is a testament to our perseverance. It shows that dedication and hard work can unlock amazing opportunities. Alongside the PENN Mi Y Team, the PENN Apple Juice Team also had the honor of being the only Middle School team representing Vietnam in the VEX Robotics World Championships Final Round. To achieve this “golden ticket,” PENN Apple Juice Team also achieved excellent results in the competition:

– Won the Middle School Robot Skills Challenge Championship.

– Achieved the highest score in Vietnam in the autonomous control and programming challenge.
