Heartfelt Emotions Before Graduation of #HomeOfTheEagles
Nội dung bài viết
The journey of growing up at PennSchool has been filled with vibrant days, heartfelt emotions, and countless cherished memories. For the #HomeOfTheEagles who are about to embark on a new path, every present moment becomes even more meaningful, stirring up emotions as they look back on the road they’ve traveled.
“When I was little, I used to secretly admire the older students joyfully standing under the spotlight of the Graduation Ceremony, proudly wearing the gown that honored outstanding students. Looking at their radiant and proud faces, I often wondered if one day, I would also carry that same aura of maturity. Those academic years drifted past my eyes like a gentle summer breeze, buzzing like cicadas, then suddenly fading into silence. Until one morning, I woke up and realized I had become a senior in high school.
All the things I once thought of as belonging to “the future” or “someday” had quietly become “the present.” And none of us are children anymore.”
Tran Khanh Nhien can already recognize her personal growth throughout the years at school: “Grade 5 – my final year of Primary School – has given me so many beautiful memories and valuable lessons. Over the past year, I’ve learned a lot of new knowledge and have grown in how I interact with others. School has made me enjoy going to class more because I’ve learned how to manage my time, take responsibility for my assignments, and prepare well for each exam. Most importantly, I’ve become more open and confident in communicating in English with those around me, including my teachers and friends.”
Likewise, Pham Quoc Khang shared how his personal growth has been shaped by his dedication and the unwavering support of his teachers.
“Over the past year, I’ve made many positive changes. I’ve become more diligent and responsible in my studies, learning how to manage my time and complete my assignments on my own. I’ve also become more open in communication, made new friends, and found joy in playing badminton with Tony and Kevin. I’m truly grateful to all my teachers for their constant encouragement and support. Thanks to their care and guidance, I’ve been able to improve and mature day by day.”
For Nguyen Tran Ngoc Anh, this is also a time to reflect and draw valuable life lessons:
“When I put on the graduation gown with my friends, I felt a strong sense of growth and maturity. One meaningful journey had come to an end, and a new horizon full of hope and challenges was opening up ahead of us. The most profound lesson I’ve learned this year is that with effort, perseverance, and determination, success will eventually come.
As the Vietnamese scholar Nguyen Ba Hoc once said, “The path is not difficult because of mountains and rivers, but because people are afraid of them.”
I want to remind myself: Always strive forward, keep trying, and stay committed to the path you’ve chosen, so that you can reach your goals step by step in the future.”
For the youngest students, their most precious baggage is the joyful memories shared with friends and teachers:
“One of my most memorable experiences was when our class went on a trip to Dragon Farm. That day, I was super excited and was the first to arrive at school to go on the trip with my teacher and friends. At the farm, I got to plant rice, catch ducks, and even play in the rain. I had so much fun and couldn’t stop laughing. It was wonderful to play with my friends.”

Graduation is not only a time to look back but also a moment for the #HomeOfTheEagles to dream big and send heartfelt messages to their future selves:
“To the future me who will one day re-read this passage: I hope that you have achieved all that you dreamed of and are living a life you truly love. Always remember that this younger Annie will always believe in you and is proud of the person you have become.” Shared by Vu Truc Anh.
Graduation is more than a farewell – it is a milestone that recognizes the students’ hard work and serves as a launchpad for them to go even further in discovering themselves and the world around them. We wish our #HomeOfTheEagles continued success as they “fly higher” and always cherish the values and love they found at PennSchool – a beautiful part of their youth.
