Letter from Board of Principals
As we begin the new academic year, marks a month full of new opportunities and fresh beginnings here at PennSchool. This month, I’d like to reflect on one of our core values: Leadership. Leadership is more than just taking charge; it’s about inspiring others, fostering collaboration, and making thoughtful decisions that benefit the community as a whole. At PennSchool, we’re proud to create numerous opportunities for our students to step into leadership roles and develop the skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
This month, we kicked off our Student Council and House Captain Elections, where students get to experience the democratic process firsthand, developing responsibility and learning the importance of representation. In addition to that, Prefect Appointments will soon take place, further reinforcing leadership within our school environment. Beyond these formal positions, students will have the chance to hone their leadership and teamwork skills in a variety of After-School Activities, where they will work collaboratively with their peers, making decisions and building new skills.
September also gave us the chance to pause and reflect on the importance of global peace. Peace Day, which we observed by wearing blue, was a powerful reminder of our responsibility as a school community to foster harmony and unity in everything we do.
Our Mid-Autumn celebrations brought us all together in joyful tradition. We had a wonderful excursion to City Park, where students and staff enjoyed the beautiful facilities and shared laughter and camaraderie. A special thank you to the families who joined us for our Mid-Autumn Mooncake Workshop—it was heartwarming to see our PennSchool community come together, baking delicious treats and enjoying good food with good friends. Moments like these remind us of the strength of our community.
As we move forward through the academic year, I’m excited to see how our students will continue to embody leadership in all its forms. Whether it’s stepping up to a formal role, collaborating with peers in activities, or simply leading by example in their everyday interactions, I have no doubt that our Eagles will soar to new heights.
Thank you all for your continued support. Together, we are shaping the future.
Warm regards,
Mr. Tim Nelson – AP Principal
