Despite entering the peak exam period, #HomeOfTheEagles continued to spread positive energy and make remarkable breakthroughs in challenging academic arenas. It was under pressure that students’ thinking skills, resilience, and passion for knowledge were powerfully ignited, creating emotional moments of true brilliance.

The mark of excellence at the Golden Bell Challenge Final Round

From December 16 to 19, the Golden Bell Challenge Final Round took place in a vibrant atmosphere, featuring confident competitions and many memorable moments. More than a knowledge-based competition, the contest served as a meaningful journey of revision and consolidation, helping students systematize their understanding of Social Studies – from history and geography to culture – thereby gaining deeper insights into the world and contemporary issues. Through interaction and competition with peers, students gained new perspectives, broadened their thinking, and strengthened their ability to connect ideas. Notably, facing time pressure and intense competition helped them develop composure, resilience, and quick decision-making – essential skills for long-term academic and personal growth.

After intense moments and dramatic point chases, the most outstanding contenders were officially announced. Achievements at the Golden Bell Challenge not only reflected strong academic foundations but also stood as a testament to students’ perseverance, determination, confidence, and unwavering spirit in conquering knowledge – the true “knowledge warriors” of PennSchool.

From ideas to an inspiring journey at the TEDxYouth@PennSchool School Round

Continuing the vibrant atmosphere, the TEDxYouth@PennSchool School Round officially took place in December, opening a platform for young speakers to showcase independent thinking, personal courage, and their unique perspectives. Following an energetic Kick-off Meeting, students approached the challenge with serious research, creative angles, and in-depth exploration of their topics. This thorough preparation enabled many presentations to leave a strong impression on the Judges.

The TEDxYouth@PennSchool School Round was not only a crucial selection stage toward the Final Round, but also a rich experiential learning journey. Through preparing and delivering their talks, students sharpened critical thinking by learning to ask questions, evaluate reliable sources, and defend their viewpoints with persuasive arguments. At the same time, they gradually mastered stage presence, communicated messages clearly and engagingly, and transformed personal stories into positive inspiration for the community. Above all, this was an opportunity for each student to confidently raise their voice – the core value that every TEDx Talks seeks to cultivate in young speakers.
