November was a month to remember for the #HomeOfTheEagles, as students immersed themselves in exciting experiences like Sports Week and Book Week. These events fostered connections among peers and teachers, creating unforgettable memories.
Sports Week – Pushing Limits, Shining With Team Spirit
From November 11 to 16, 2024, the Sports Week with the theme “The Global Champions” brought an electrifying and energetic atmosphere to PennSchool. Students competed in thrilling sports such as Combination Challenge, Western Chess, Chinese Chess, Badminton, Swimming, Basketball, and Football. These activities offered opportunities for learning, growth, and the development of both physical and soft skills.
Each match became a platform for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and sportsmanship. With the aim of promoting teamwork, encouraging healthy competition, and strengthening the sense of community, Sports Week transcended sports to deliver invaluable lessons on unity and pride.
This year’s Sports Week not only challenged participants to push their limits but also provided a playground to hone skills, celebrate athleticism, and create lasting memories. Whether on the field, in the pool, or on the chessboard, students consistently demonstrated a noble sporting spirit, spreading the values of teamwork and respect for their opponents.

Book Week – Sparking A Love For Reading
From November 18 to 22, 2024, Book Week, with the theme “Books Open New Horizons Before My Eyes”, presented students with a wealth of enriching activities, encouraging them to explore the vast world of knowledge and unleash their creativity.
The week began with enthusiastic participation in activities like “Book Review”, “Bookmark Decoration” and so on. These engaging events offered students a chance to exercise their imagination, artistic talents, and creativity while sharing outstanding literary works with their peers. Together, they cultivated a passion for books within the PennSchool community.
The highlight of Book Week was the special workshop with author Phuong Huyen. This inspiring session provided a meaningful space to discuss the benefits of reading and helped foster a deeper love for literature among students. Author Phuong Huyen is renowned as a seasoned writer, journalist, reporter, and editor at FM99.9MHz – The Voice of Ho Chi Minh City’s People. She also serves as a Member of the Executive Committee and Head of the Communications Department for the Ho Chi Minh City Writers’ Association (Term VIII, 2021 – 2025). Additionally, she has inspired countless readers through her remarkable books, including Khoang Biec, Trong Long Pho, and Cai Tai va Cuoc Phieu Luu Ky Thu.
Book Week was a rewarding experience that kindled a love for reading and promoted a culture of learning. It also strengthened a community of learners, creators, and book enthusiasts.
As November drew to a close, the positive values from these events continued to resonate within the PennSchool community.
