The Colors of Love in the Journey of Growth at PennSchool

Every event at PennSchool tells a beautiful story of love, unity, and the joy of learning. This October, our #HomeOfTheEagles continued their memorable journey through a series of colorful and meaningful celebrations.

A Warm and Meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival

The 5th Mid-Autumn Festival of the PennSchool community, themed “Legends of the Moon – Lighting Up 5 Years of Love and Leadership”, came to a close in an atmosphere filled with joy and heartfelt emotions.

This year, the PennSchool family created wonderful memories together at the Lantern Decoration Workshop, where everyone expressed their creativity by crafting vibrant lanterns – a symbol of reunion and connection. Wearing traditional costumes, students enjoyed a festive celebration under the full moon with exciting performances, games, and the special Charity Gift Station activity. Through this initiative, meaningful gifts were delivered to children at Children’s Hospital 2, marking the conclusion of a week-long fundraising effort.

At PennSchool, the Mid-Autumn Festival is more than a time to celebrate cultural traditions – it is an opportunity to nurture compassion, spread kindness, and strengthen the sense of community within every student.

Kicking off Sports Fest with the Combination Challenges

The vibrant and energetic spirit of Sports Fest 2025 officially began under the theme “Soaring for Glory”. Our Grade 1 #HomeOfTheEagles took on 3 exciting Combination Challenges – cycling, obstacle courses, and tug of war – creating thrilling, laughter-filled moments. With enthusiastic cheers from teachers and friends, the young “athletes” demonstrated true sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination to bring glory to their class.

More than just a fun and active playground, the event served as a meaningful lesson on teamwork, perseverance, and pride in shared success. As one of the biggest sporting events of the school year, Sports Fest inspired students to develop physical fitness, discipline, endurance, and fair play, embodying the spirit of “Soaring for Glory” by striving, uniting, and conquering challenges together.

Lessons in Gratitude and Sharing through Halloween

October ended on a cheerful note with Halloween celebrations under the theme “From Harvest to Harmony”. This event offered #HomeOfTheEagles a chance to explore the cultural significance of this unique Western tradition – a time when people come together to celebrate a bountiful harvest and express gratitude to their ancestors.

In a bright orange setting, students transformed into cheerful American farmers and took part in creative and bonding activities such as “Pumpkin Field” decoration, Wheel of Sweet Magic, Trick or Treat, and the fun-filled Hands-Free Cookie Challenge. The event brought laughter and joy while helping students better understand the values of gratitude, sharing, environmental awareness, and community connection.

Each event adds its own unique color to the vibrant picture of school life at PennSchool – where students not only learn and grow but also live in an environment filled with love, energy, and human values. PennSchool will continue to accompany all #HomeOfTheEagles on their journey of growth, making every moment under this roof a cherished memory to remember.
