Letter from Board of Principals
As we reflect on November, I would like to highlight this month’s core value: Equity. At PennSchool, equity means ensuring that every member of our community has access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. As Carl Sagan wisely said, “The visions we offer our children shape the future.” Our commitment to equity ensures that all our students can see themselves in a future where they have the tools to succeed, no matter their starting point.
This month, our School was abuzz with exciting events that brought our community together. During Sports Week, “The Global Champions”, we saw our students embody teamwork and determination, uniting across grade levels to celebrate both competition and camaraderie. Additionally, the first stage of TEDxYouth@PennSchool empowered our students to share their voices and ideas with confidence and creativity. Book Week was another highlight, fostering a love for reading and reminding us, as Clarence Thomas stated, that “Good reading is not just about gaining knowledge; it’s about opening doors to a world of possibility.”
We also prioritized safety and preparedness through our Fire Prevention Training, ensuring that our students and staff are equipped to act responsibly in emergency situations. These experiences not only enrich our student’s education but also reinforce the values of equity, opportunity, and community that are at the heart of everything we do at PennSchool.
As we continue this academic year, I am inspired by the resilience and dedication of our #HomeOfTheEagles. Together, let’s keep shaping a future where equity opens doors for every student to soar to new heights.
Warm regards,
Mr. Tim Nelson – AP Principal
