General Questions

PennSchool currently offers the VAP Pathway, the PSP Pathway and the IAP Pathway (including ADP Pathway).

PennSchool guarantees attention to each student at every stage of their educational journey and enhances interaction with Parents through the following channels: Parent Portal, Weekly Communication, Student-Led Conference, POPs, Circular, SMS Updates.

Payment of all fees can be transferred to the School’s account.

Parents can choose to pay fees by Full-year, by Semester, or by Term. There will be two semesters in every school year. And there are four terms in a school year.

The school always dedicates scholarships for students with excellent academic results.
Condition:

  • Achieve academic excellence in previous years;
  • Achieving awards in international and national competitions;
  • Especially, have good English skills.

The library program at PennSchool is supported by PM AccessIt. The library program will be based on the Pennsylvania Library Curriculum Framework, which actively supports the reading program – which is required in the regular academic courses based on the Pennsylvania Literacy Framework standards.

School year at PennSchool generally begins in August and finishes about the end of June. For more information, please visit the school calendar here.

School begins at 08:10 AM and dismisses after the last scheduled lesson. Clubs and Talent Squads run from 15:10 PM to 16:20 PM, Monday through Friday.

At PennSchool, with Active Teaching and Learning, too little or too many students will affect classroom efficiency. The School chooses the number of 24-28 students per class to easily deploy Group – Pair – Share activities in the classroom. A class can easily be divided into groups of 2, groups of 4, 6 or 7 students to discuss, or groups of students with similar levels to have different support strategies.
In addition, teachers can easily help students approach the lesson through technology application, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, problem-based learning.

PennSchool does not charge any fee for the Entrance Exam.

Usually, the Entrance Exam will take place on Saturday or Sunday and is expected to last from 2.5 – 3 hours (depending on the choosing program). For the detailed information, please contact the Admission Office through the phone number or send us Inquiry.

Students enrolling in the IAP Pathway will interview with foreign teachers in the entrance test. Students enrolling in the VAP & PSP Pathway will interview with both Vietnamese and foreign teachers. All students have paper-based and multiple-choice entrance exams depending on the grade registered.

The result will be informed to parents and students within 3-5 days.

According to the decision to allow the teaching of the Pennsylvania High School program of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, Spainish is the second foreign language subject.

Yes, you can. At the beginning of every academic year, parents will fill in the application form and students are required to take an Entrance Test for class classification.

Students studying the IAP Pathway cannot switch to the VAP Pathway.

International programs offer you many advantages when studying abroad. This includes English proficiency skills, important study skills such as effective presentation, critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, and international thinking skills, along with a variety of choices for study and work after graduation.

Depending on the country’s requirements, students may need to take some additional courses. However, with the American curriculum standards and the experience of students who have studied and moved to live abroad, or merely study abroad, they can still transfer and continue their normal studies.

In particular, students graduating from ADP Pathway with a diploma issued by Greenville High School can increase their chances and ability to compete for scholarships on par with American students when applying to prestigious universities worldwide. Students also do not need to spend more time and money on the Foundation semester to become acquainted with advanced learning methods and skills in universities.

Diploma from Greenville High School, which is authorized by the Greenville Area School District is recognized around the world, including several international universities in Vietnam.

In addition, students can participate in many interesting subjects, such as Yearbook Journalism, Community Service, Engineering & Design – subjects that are common in American learning programs.

Students also have the chance to participate in the Advanced Placement program to accumulate college credits while still in high school.

In fact, 100% of ADP students graduated and earned prestigious scholarships to universities in the US, Australia, and Canada.
