With the aim of spreading kindness and the spirit of solidarity through the “Light Up The Future” Community Fund, during the academic year 2022 – 2023, the PennSchool community together organized a series of fundraising events with meaningful experiences.
In the journey of giving love and illuminating its dreams, PennSchool, alongside the community, has engaged in numerous activities and events throughout the school year, such as Pink Day, Vietnam – UK Cultural Confluence: A Festive Gathering, the Piggy Bank activity, and Northwest Bazaar – Spreading Love to Nacosa. With a boundless heart of compassion, deep empathy, and genuine sharing, the PennSchool community has raised a total of 383,075,700 VND (Three hundred eighty-three million, seventy-five thousand, seven hundred Vietnam dong) during the past academic year.
The entire amount collected from the fundraising events has helped children and disadvantaged people in Na Co Sa Commune, Nam Po District, Dien Bien Province to continue pursuing their unfinished dreams through the four Projects: “Knowledge for the Highland Students”, “Bridge of Love”, “Tech Empowerment for Highland Students”, and “Next Generation Knowledge Collaboration”.
After nearly four months of land surveying and construction, these special projects have achieved notable milestones in Na Co Sa Commune, Nam Po District, Dien Bien Province.
The “Knowledge for the Highland Students” project has completed the construction of community activity centers and dormitories, bringing joy and excitement to the students of Na Co Sa Secondary School.
The Inauguration Ceremony of this special event in mid-July also marked the return of the students to school as they began their learning journey and participated in summer activities before the official start of the new school year. Seeing the bright smiles on students’ faces on their first day back to school has warmed our hearts as we realized the positive impact the project has had on them. Moreover, the project’s completion has given them renewed hope for a better future, providing them with a more comfortable learning environment and comprehensive development opportunities to become valuable members of society in the future.
In addition to the above project, other projects are still underway and are expected to be completed in August and September of this year.
The successful completion of these projects wouldn’t have been possible without the wholehearted support of parents and students on the journey of spreading kindness and implementing life-changing projects for those in need. On behalf of students and citizens in Na Co Sa Commune, PennSchool would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to parents and students. This valuable companionship will serve as motivation for PennSchool to continue delivering larger and more impactful community projects.
