Letter from Board of Principals
As we approach the end of the year and the festive month of December, it’s a perfect time for reflection and celebration at PennSchool. This month, our focus turns to one of our core values: Inquisitiveness.
The spirit of Inquisitiveness is not only demonstrated through impressive academic and competition achievements but also through various school activities, where students are free to explore and express their unique personalities.
Our Penn Players, PennSchool’s first-ever Drama Club, embraced their curiosity and creativity as they began rehearsals for their upcoming play, “The Mystery of the Vanishing Trophy”. The energy and enthusiasm from the students were palpable as they dove into their roles, learning about teamwork, problem-solving, and the magic of storytelling.
In the realm of science and technology, our VEX Robotics Teams, PENN BÁNH Ú, and PENN BÁNH ÍT showcased their skills and determination by participating in the Vietnam VEX High Stakes Southern Region Tournament (National Qualifiers) in Hanoi. This event was a testament to our students’ drive to innovate and compete at the highest level. They displayed not only technical proficiency but also an inquisitive mindset as they tackled engineering challenges and collaborated with their teammates.
Another highlight was the School Round for the TEDxYouth@PennSchool 2025 event, where students courageously stepped forward to share their ideas with confidence and passion. This process has not only cultivated their public speaking and critical thinking skills but also fueled their curiosity to explore meaningful topics that can inspire change to everyone.
Of course, the holiday spirit was alive and well at PennSchool! Our students participated in a variety of Christmas-themed events, including tree decorating and a heartwarming art auction for charity. These activities brought joy to our community while teaching our students the importance of generosity and compassion. The festive atmosphere reminded us all that learning and inquisitiveness can take many forms, even during the holiday season.
As we wrap up the first semester, I want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication our students have shown, particularly during their exams. The holiday break is an excellent opportunity for everyone to recharge, relax, and spend time with family and friends. I encourage all of our students to take this time to reflect on their achievements, rekindle their curiosity, and come back ready to embrace new opportunities in the new year.
As we end the year together, let us carry the spirit of inquisitiveness into the months ahead. May we all continue to question, explore, and grow, both as individuals and as a community. Wishing the entire PennSchool family a joyful holiday season and a happy, restful start to the New Year.
Warm regards,
Mr. Timothy Nelson
