Letter from Board of Principals
Dear PennSchool Community,
As we step into Quarter 4, our campus continues to be filled with energy, reflection, and anticipation for the months ahead. This month, we celebrate the theme “Curious Hearts, Grateful Minds”, grounded in our core value of inquisitiveness: the drive to ask questions, explore new ideas, and remain open to learning in all its forms.
As Aesop wisely said, “Gratitude turns what we have into enough.” This simple yet powerful idea reminds us that while curiosity pushes us to seek more, more knowledge, and more understanding, gratitude helps us appreciate how far we’ve already come. At PennSchool, we strive to nurture both students who are eager to learn and who value the opportunities in front of them.
This spirit was clearly visible during the visit from Oxford Spires Academy. For the fourth consecutive year, PennSchool has had the privilege of hosting students and teachers from the UK, and once again, our high school was alive with excitement, collaboration, and cultural exchange. These experiences spark curiosity in our students while also fostering appreciation for diverse perspectives and global connections.
Our students also extended their learning beyond the classroom through field trips to VinWonders and Suoi Tien. These moments of exploration encouraged students to engage with each other and the world around them, creating lasting memories with their peers. As we look ahead, it is important to balance this excitement with focus and determination. With end-of-year exams approaching, I encourage all students to remain disciplined and committed. While summer is on the horizon, the work we do now lays the foundation for future success.
I would also like to commend our students who began training for the First LEGO League competition at the end of the month. Their dedication to teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving is a wonderful reflection of inquisitiveness in action.
As we enter the final quarter of the academic year, I invite our families to reflect together: How can we nurture curiosity at home while also cultivating gratitude? Encouraging students to ask questions, take on challenges, and appreciate their progress can make a meaningful difference in both their academic and personal growth.
Let us move forward with curious hearts, eager to learn, and with grateful minds, appreciative of every opportunity. Together, we can ensure that our students finish the year strong, not only academically, but as thoughtful and reflective individuals.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Timothy Nelson
