The academic year 2025 – 2026 concluded not only with brilliant academic achievements but also with the proud breakthroughs of outstanding individuals in extracurricular activities. At PennSchool, the journey of “spreading love to nurture young leaders” has been clearly demonstrated through the marks of growth of our Student Council members over the past term.
Looking back at this vibrant academic year, the Student Council members excellently fulfilled their roles as “young leaders,” guiding the PennSchool community to actively participate in school activities. Nguyen Do Tram Anh – Student Council’s President – also had a brilliantly successful term, serving as a solid bridge connecting the Council members, all students, and the School. The experiences from the past academic year are undoubtedly invaluable lessons in responsibility and empathy.
“I feel deeply honored to hold the position of Student Council President this academic year. In this role, I have learned many precious lessons and faced challenges that I had never experienced before. As President, my responsibility is to connect students with the School, listen to everyone’s opinions, and work alongside fellow Student Council members to create meaningful activities for the student community.
Throughout our term, I had the opportunity to help organize many major and memorable events, such as PENNMUN, as well as the VN – UK Cultural Exchange. And the grandest hallmark of the year executed by our Student Council was Prom Night 2026. Each event brought me distinct experiences – from planning, teamwork, and problem–solving to learning how to lead and support those around me. In particular, I am proud that these activities not only helped students gain beautiful memories but also generated positive values for the school and the community. These experiences have helped me grow more mature, become more confident, and better understand the responsibilities of a leader.”
Sharing the same journey of planning and executing activities as Tram Anh, for Doan Bao Huy – Student Council’s Treasurer – the past experience was not just about working with dry numbers. Instead, it was an explosive term where he confidently stepped out of his comfort zone to challenge himself with new responsibilities.
“Despite holding the role of Treasurer in the PennSchool Student Council, my journey over the past academic year was never dry; it was a series of exciting experiences that helped me break out of my comfort zone. My first challenge came as an MC at PENNMUN – the Model United Nations conference. Even though it was my first time standing in such a formal academic setting, the support from teachers and friends helped me complete the task excellently and learn how to speak confidently in public. By the middle of the academic year, I continued to accompany the Folk Culture Week – UK Exchange. This was an opportunity for students to engage with another culture, expanding our social knowledge while creating meaningful connections between PennSchool students and those from other countries. During the final days of the academic year, I was fortunate to be part of the annual Prom – planned and organized by the Student Council. Despite working at full capacity and staying up late to solve complex budget puzzles, we together created a magnificent night filled with countless priceless memories.
Looking back at the journey, I am proud to see how much I have grown. Stepping away from textbooks and numbers, extracurricular activities have gifted me with invaluable assets: from real–world event coordination and seamless teamwork skills to the calmness needed to handle emergencies. Thank you, Student Council, for a complete and unforgettable academic year!”
The resilient growth and global mindset of the Student Council members are quintessential representations of PennSchool students – the “eagles” who do not fear challenges and are always ready to spread their wings to master the future. Thank you to the 2025 – 2026 Student Council for your quiet yet powerful dedication, contributing to a complete and memorable academic year for the entire PennSchool community.
