Go Eagles Dance Challenge
Nội dung bài viết
Many students participated in the PennSchool Houses’ Go Eagles Dance Challenge to showcase their dance skills.
While the elementary school students’ challenge was no easy feat, their high school counterparts faced an even tougher challenge. They were tasked with forming a team and creating their own dance video based on the “Go Eagles” song.
Nguyen Thien Moc Lan of class ADP-9A, who only decided to participate in the challenge after receiving advice from her mother, discusses the challenges:
“I’m not someone who typically loves to dance. However, upon talking to my mom, she actually convinced me to join this challenge so I could find out about myself, maybe discover my hidden talents, and build up my hobbies. I had never tried any dance classes before, so I was extremely nervous at the thought of dancing in front of a lot of people. So, upon reading the competition’s requirements, I said to myself that I needed to put a lot of time and effort into practicing so that I could do my best for the performance. The hardest part for me would be to memorize the dance choreography. In fact, the song that I chose had a huge combination of complex and challenging moves, so I had to spend a lot of time mastering every single part of it, before I could put everything together to form a complete dance.”
While Moc Lan participated in the challenge to gain experience and discover her abilities, Thuy Tran, class VAP-6B, decided to participate because she was passionate about it.
“The main reason that made me decide to join this challenge is that dance is my hobby. Since I was young, I have loved dancing. Even though I’m pretty shy, my family, teachers, and friends encouraged me to try something new. Looking back, I am so glad I did. I believe each person has his or her own way to show their talent, like a star in the sky. That is the reason I chose to take part in this challenge, to help myself grow up on the path to conquering knowledge.”
After taking part in the challenge, each student improved significantly.
“This competition has helped me get over my shyness and do more things that I like. The competition has created a great environment for me and those who are passionate about dance to challenge and express themselves.”

“As part of the rules for the contest, I had to make a dance video based on the sample at the beginning. For the rest, I had to be creative. Making the introduction was especially difficult. I made some clips with different ideas and then spent 2-3 hours editing. I am so proud of what I did. Whatever the outcome, I am still grateful for the wonderful memories I have from this competition.
After the competition, I realized that there are many opportunities out there, so you just need to try your best. A fantastic opportunity will come your way if you have the perseverance and patience to seek it out. Each challenge will help you push your boundaries. That’s how you grow stronger and more confident. When you know how to make and take advantage of opportunities, it means you are doing your best and training yourself to be more energetic, which is an essential trait for a successful person”.
