November has been exceptionally vibrant, marked by a series of academic and athletic competitions that provided countless opportunities for #HomeOfTheEagles to challenge themselves, push their limits, and showcase their leadership.

Kicking off a journey of discovery with the Golden Bell Challenge

The Golden Bell Challenge, with the theme “The Mind’s Voyage Across the Globe”, officially launched with an exciting and suspenseful School Round. This competition challenges students’ critical thinking, social science knowledge, and quick reaction skills.

Throughout this round, participants faced a series of intriguing yet highly challenging questions that demanded both deep understanding and focused concentration. The competition atmosphere grew increasingly intense as each contestant strived to maintain their position and avoid elimination.

At the end of this round, the well-deserving finalists emerged – students who demonstrated exceptional intelligence, confidence, and remarkable reasoning skills. With such a strong performance early on, these contestants are expected to deliver outstanding results in the Final Round this December.

Overcoming challenges at the School Round of TEDxYouth@PennSchool 

After more than a week of selection, the speakers of TEDxYouth@PennSchool 2026 officially entered the School Round on November 17 – 18, 2025, bringing with them great excitement and strong determination.

In this round, contestants were assessed comprehensively by the Judges based on various criteria: content quality, main idea, delivery skills, and the level of inspiration conveyed through their stories. Each presentation reflected careful preparation – from slides and speaking style to voice control and personal expression.

Despite presenting on the same overarching theme, every student brought a distinct perspective to the stage, showcasing creativity, independent thinking, and individual identity. The diversity and careful preparation in every presentation made selecting the most outstanding candidates for the Final Round a true challenge for the Judges. Let’s wait and see which talents will continue to shine in the next stage of the competition.

Talented athletes compete at the Sports Fest

The Sports Fest “Soaring for Glory” – the biggest athletic event of the academic year – continued to bring excitement with a series of competitions requiring intellect, endurance, and discipline: Swimming, Western Chess, and Chinese Chess.

In the chess sections, competitors demonstrated remarkable composure and strategic thinking through every calculated move. Beyond intense mental battles, each match showcased the students’ strong focus and sharp situational analysis.

In the swimming section, the blue lanes became the stage where PennSchool swimmers displayed impressive speed, refined technique, and an unwavering spirit to push beyond their limits. Every stroke, breath, and final surge reflected their determination to conquer personal boundaries. Many athletes excelled under time pressure, closed significant gaps, and proudly reached the finish line to claim well-deserved medals.

Despite the intense competition, the atmosphere remained filled with sportsmanship and mutual respect. These thrilling matchups not only provided valuable athletic experiences but also spread a strong message of physical and mental development throughout the PennSchool student community.

PENNMUN – Where future leaders raise their voices for peace

Also this month, PENNMUN continued to make its mark as a special academic platform for #HomeOfTheEagles, passionate about international relations and global issues.

During the Model United Nations sessions, young “future diplomats” stepped into the role of national delegates to debate, negotiate, and draft resolutions addressing timely global challenges – from children’s rights and public health to human rights, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

Although only in its first year, PENNMUN has already shown significant influence, giving students the opportunity to develop essential global-citizen skills: critical thinking, negotiation, leadership, and international collaboration. The maturity and confidence displayed throughout the sessions reflect the meaningful journey that PENNMUN is fostering – a journey empowering students to speak up for a better and more peaceful world.

November concludes with countless meaningful experiences, marking new achievements for #HomeOfTheEagles across multiple fields. PennSchool believes that each academic and athletic arena is not just a place to compete, but a journey for students to explore their strengths, shine in their own way, and grow holistically every day.
