The “Robotacon Youtube Challenge 2021” contest with the theme “How Robots help farmers” is one of the first challenges to help young talents to develop scientific thinking and prepare basic knowledge for them to apply to science in the future.
This is the basic goal that the Robotacon Program Organizing Committee wants to give for PennSchool’s young students a useful playground and develop their passion in the STEAM. The competition also helps students to become global citizens by improving their thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.
The first round tooks place this December with the theme “How robots help farmers”. According to the organizers, this theme is the golden key to ensuring a high-quality food supply and coping with the negative impacts of climate change which affects agriculture. The students at PennSchool are the ones who have the responsibility to join hands to help everyone, help the country in the future. This is a practical arena, where young students show their talents and passion for STEAM Robotics to come up with creative solutions, use technology in robot assembly and get more experience.
Over 30 candidates have submitted. By establishing a video to share ideas for the topic, the students showed their talents. And the 5 best candidates from 4 teams were selected through the school’s fanpage and the highest score video from the organizers.

️- Le Minh Khoi – B1A
Focuses on the difficulties of farmers in eradicating pests and diseases, handling soil situations, vitamins demand and how to harvest on time. With a multi-purpose vehicle, Minh Khoi can help farmers do many stages at the same time including plowing, sowing, filling, watering the whole field, fertilizing, killing insects and harvesting.
️- Nguyen Khoa Do Noah – B1F
Noah develops his idea with vehicles to support the farmer such as a harvest house to harvest the crop; a jet to spread fertilizer, a watering car to water and a blower to collect electrical energy to power the operation.
️- Nguyen Tuan Nam – B1A and Le Ngoc Xuan Quynh – B1A
Nam and Quynh have built an impressive garden with many different areas. An aquarium where customers can visit and buy fish. The garden with a giant diamond gives everyone the opportunity to relax and view. In the garden, there are many functional robots such as robots that shoot scenes; scorpion catching robots; the alarm robot to warn of theft; robots transmit electricity to maintain the power… All create a lively and colorful garden.
– Nguyen Minh Lam – B4B
As a selected candidate from the Organizing Committee, Minh Lam demonstrated his unique idea with a versatile robot that can both harvest, water, and fertilize… In Particular, the robot has a solar battery, which helps to maintain efficient harvesting.
With their ideas, the young talents received interesting gifts from the Organizing Committee. Besides, all students participating in the contest also received a Certificate.
The challenge round will take place from 07/01 – 23/01 and the final round will be officially Live-Streamed on January 23, 2022. Now is the time for you to prepare for the next round and show your bravery with more creative ideas. Let’s look forward to the appearance of new young talents in the next rounds!
