Remarkably, within just one week, Thien Lam secured two consecutive championship titles: the Asia Pickleball Junior Open 2025 (U18 Women’s Division) in Da Nang on July 15, 2025, and the World Pickleball Championship in Malaysia from July 16 – 20, 2025. With her confidence, persistence, and strong will to conquer, Thien Lam not only shone on the international stage but also inspired the #HomeOfTheEagles community with her motivational sharings: “The biggest challenge is balancing studying and training. Sometimes, I had to practice early in the morning or late at night. One unforgettable moment was when my team was far behind in points, but we didn’t give up and eventually made a comeback to win. That moment was truly special.”
Sharing the pride and encouraging Thien Lam on her professional pickleball path, the School believes she will continue to be a remarkable athlete as she pursues her passion and skills at both national and international tournaments.
Nguyen Hoang Minh – A “Drummer” Who Found His Passion at the Age of 6
In August, Nguyen Hoang Minh impressed audiences at the Preliminary Round of the Asian Supreme Drum Competition 2025 in Singapore, where 500 outstanding contestants from across Asia competed together. Performing “Fallout” in the Rockschool Grade 3 category, Minh amazed the judges and successfully earned his ticket to the International Final Round in November 2025.
Sharing about his passion for drums, Hoang Minh said: “My parents wanted me to learn piano, but I was determined to choose drums – an instrument that touches my soul and ignites my love for music. Every beat is not just a sound, but also a way for me to express my personality, passion, and desire to conquer new heights. The announcement of this success brought overwhelming joy to me and my family.” This was not only a personal honor but also a source of pride for his family, teachers, and friends at PennSchool, as Minh stands shoulder-to-shoulder with international peers on a prestigious stage.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Gia Minh and his team, Solvia, also made an impact with their project “Multi-functional Solar-powered Desk”. Gia Minh shared: “This desk has many functions: equipped with solar panels for clean energy, foldable chairs that save space, and convenient features for daily use. The biggest challenge was designing it to be durable, compact, and multi-functional at the same time.”
With this practical and eco-friendly idea, Gia Minh and Solvia won impressive awards:
- Top Trading Teams
- Business Excellence Award

- ASDAN UK Certificate
Reflecting on the journey, Gia Minh shared: “The competition gave me a new experience, helping me learn more about design, teamwork, and how to turn ideas into real products. This was a valuable opportunity for me to grow.”
These remarkable achievements affirm the talent and determination of the #HomeOfTheEagles, while also bringing pride to the PennSchool community on international stages. Their courage to step out of the comfort zone and confidence to overcome challenges will continue to inspire future #HomeOfTheEagles to pursue their passions and reach greater heights.
