The first Peace Day at PennSchool
Nội dung bài viết
This year, with the theme “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”, and although we cannot gather together to celebrate Peace Day, #HouseofEagles still participated in many meaningful activities online.
Our world is losing its peace because of the common enemy called COVID-19. Like the rest of the world, Ho Chi Minh city – “a city that never sleeps” is losing the familiar bustling and vibrant atmosphere these days. Our city is also in war time, againsting the “invisible enemy” creeping everywhere in the city. However, with the efforts of every citizen, the unremitting efforts of frontline doctors, we believe that the pandemic will soon pass and return to life as before.
Responding to activities on Peace Day, grade 1-2 students at PennSchool had a painting activity with the hope that the city could quickly overcome the pandemic. There are many lovely artworks drawn by students, showing their love and support for the city and frontline doctors who are helping the city through this difficult time.
Peace Day is a meaningful activity that will be held every year at PennSchool for students to understand the meaning of this day as well as creating an opportunity for the entire PennSchool community to contribute their voices and spread messages of peace.
#Hourseofeagles also had activities to help people who are affected by COVID-19. By participating and voting for Dance challenge and Collaborative group photo challenge, students can contribute to the Pennschool’s charity fund. Each group photo and dance video sent to the school can donate 10,000 VND to the charity fund. In addition, the top 3 photos or videos with the most interactions in the school’s fanpage will receive a prize of 5,000,000 VND, which is also donated. This will be very meaningful and let’s look forward to the impressive number that the PennSchool community can raise!
