The PENN CHUỐI SẤY team and their journey to conquer the VEX Robotics World Championship 2023 in the United States

Being one of the 19 Vietnamese teams participating in the VEX Robotics World Championship in the United States last April, the 4 members of the PENN CHUỐI SẤY team excellently achieved the “Inspire Award” at the competition.

After conquering the Vietnam VEX IQ National Robotics Championship 2023 at the beginning of the year, the PENN CHUỐI SẤY team became one of the 19 Vietnamese representative teams and one of the 787 outstanding teams in the world to participate in the VEX Robotics World Championship at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (Dallas, USA). Especially, the PENN Chuối Sấy team was honored to participate in the National Parade Ceremony at VEX and proudly be one of the 2 teams representing Vietnam to win an award at this competition.

In this competition, the PENN CHUỐI SẤY team joined the Research Division with 77 others from the US, India, Taiwan, China, and other countries. They had 3 competition days with more than 4000 intense matches. Finally, the PENN CHUỐI SẤY achieved the Inspire Award as well as being ranked 37th in this division. This award honored the team’s passion and positive attitude throughout the tournament and their ability to overcome obstacles and challenges to achieve good results.

Before participating in the competition, the PENN CHUỐI SẤY team had the opportunity to “explore the world” by finding out about the culture and some famous landmarks of the USA, such as: Stanford University, Silicon Valley, the Golden Gate Bridge, The Tech Interactive Museum, and Union Square. Especially the PENN CHUỐI SẤY team and other Vietnamese teams at VEX Worlds were honored to meet and receive good wishes from the representative of the Vietnamese Consulate General in the US.

We would like to congratulate the PENN CHUỐI SẤY members, who have made relentless efforts and excellently completed their proud journey at the VEX Robotics World Championship. This remarkable achievement will also be a premise for them to aim for success at future competitions.

PennSchool hopes that this result will motivate the students of the PENN CHUỐI SẤY team and other Home of the Eagles to continue striving and challenge themselves to conquer the next international tournaments.
