A miraculous Mid-Autumn Festival
Nội dung bài viết
Another Mid-Autumn Festival has come, and we once again eagerly welcome a colorful festival. Despite the significant differences of how we are celebrating this festival compared to previous years, the full moon day of August is still magical at the House of Eagles.
That would be the most special Mid-Autumn Festival ever when we cannot together join the lantern parade, fruit trays decoration, watch a lion dance, and participate in exciting folk games. The Full Moon Festival this year, PennSchool’s students had to celebrate through the screen. The discomfort and frustration are completely understandable when we just stayed alone in a room with a screen to celebrate a colorful and vibrant festival.
“Due to the pandemic, the Mid-Autumn Festival this year was very special. There were no longer activities such as fruit trays decorations, lantern parades as well as folk games that I had always eagerly awaited. It made me feel a little bit sad and disappointed”

“Ho Chi Minh City implemented directive 16 of the government, so everyone had to stay at home and work online, even our learning is no exception to this rule. The street was quiet, there was no lion dance, lantern street and mooncake stores as in previous years. Obviously, we could not go to school and did not have a Mid-Autumn Festival with friends and teachers”.

However, the Full Moon Festival of this year is still miraculous in an extremely unique way. We were able to spend more time with our family and relatives. They are the source of motivation and simple happiness that each of us seems to have accidentally forgotten. Besides, even though the celebration is only online platforms, PennSchool also brought to our students the most special, joyful and warmest Mid-Autumn Festival, so that they could “gather” with friends and teachers in this special festival. For Eagles and teachers at PennSchool, there is still a miraculous Mid-Autumn Festival. Let’s find out the emotional sharing of students and teachers about the miracle of the Mid-Autumn Festival at House of Eagles.
“I thought that the feeling of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival would be impossible, but on that morning, a wonderful surprise appeared. When I opened my laptop to prepare for my class, a familiar tune suddenly played “Tết Trung Thu em rước đèn đi chơi, em rước đèn đi khắp phố phường”… I am so happy and fortunate to be a student at PennSchool, being supported by the Board of Principals as well as all teachers, who gave us all the best opportunities in our student life. I really appreciate every precious moment and send my sincerest thanks to all the teachers at PennSchool”.

“My friends and I came up with the idea of making mooncakes to have a fun Mid-Autumn Festival. From the stage of making the wrapper to the baking, we shared everything with each other and captured moments which could only come once. All of them brought beautiful and memorable moments.”

“… no matter the computer screen, no matter how the pandemic is, it could not stop the excitement and joyfulness of all PennSchool members when the Mid-Autumn festival arrived. For me, there will be a miraculous Mid-Autumn Festival at PennSchool”
