Peace Day Overflowing with Blue at PennSchool

Every year on September 21st, #HomeOfTheEagles comes together wearing blue attire in order to participate in various meaningful activities in honor of International Peace Day. This academic year, under the theme “Actions for Peace,” they joined hands with the school to promote global peace through practical actions.

One of the most meaningful actions they undertook was to “paint” the school grounds blue by wearing blue attire to school. Alongside their hopes for peace, 10,000 VND would be contributed to the “Light Up the Future” Community Fund for every blue attire worn to school, aimed at assisting those in need across all corners of their homeland.

On this day, the students collectively filled the box with the words “PEACE,” containing the most beautiful wishes exquisitely folded into paper crane models. Additionally, with the intention of promoting a world that is respectful, equitable, nonviolent, and free of war, they came together to add vibrant hues to a gigantic mural. They also made friendship bracelets and randomly gifted them to their beloved classmates.

Moreover, engaging in activities such as reading and listening to podcasts produced by #HomeOfTheEagles helped them gain a deeper understanding of the origins and significance of International Peace Day. This strengthened their ideals about peace, encouraged them to treat their friends harmoniously, and enabled them to contribute positively to a safe and healthy learning environment as well as a better society.

While these actions may seem small, they represent significant contributions to the long journey toward greater world peace. It is certain that through these meaningful activities on Peace Day, they undoubtedly realized that every individual deserves equal treatment and love, paving the way for a safe, friendly learning environment and meaningful actions for society.
