Get ready to ignite with TEDxYouth@PENN

TEDxYouth will be organized at PennSchool for the first time in 2022 with the main topic “The New Uses of Technology in Education – Innovation and Flexibility”.

TED and videos about a variety of different fields such as Education, Business, Science, Technology and Creativity have provided valuable new knowledge, and inspired millions of people around the world. Overcoming geographical distances, barriers and language differences, TED Talk and TEDx Talk videos (regional talks on topics presented by local speakers) are recorded aimed to promote communication, connection and community.

This year will be the first time that Eagles can experience and challenge in a new competition, become the “Speaker” representing GenZ to inspire others through an engaging conversation. With the main topic “The New Uses of Technology in Education – Innovation and Flexibility”, TEDxYouth@PENN promises to be very attractive, showing many excellent and creative ideas from the members of the House of Eagles.

The competition will be divided into 2 groups: Primary (Grade 1 – 5) and High School (Grade 7 – 12). In each table, the best speakers will be qualified for the main event which is organized on 19/02/2022.

In order to find 9 excellent “Speakers” moving to the main event, the School Round took place on 14/01. Despite being the first time, TEDxYouth@PENN attracted a lot of attention and participation from students. There were 56 Eagles from all 12 Grades attending the School Round. With evidence, analysis, and clear opinions combined with visual images, Eagles showed their different perspectives on the impact of Technology on Education.

The valuable experiences and knowledge in this competition is definitely the biggest reward for students. Being dared to challenge and surpass themselves, all Eagles are winners in this competition.
