March has been a month full of heartfelt experiences for the PennSchool community, providing opportunities to share kindness and strengthen bonds.

Welcoming Our Friends From Oxford Spires Academy, UK

On February 28 & March 1, 2025, PennSchool had the honor of welcoming special guests from Oxford Spires Academy (UK) during the Vietnam – UK Cultural Exchange “United Through Play: A Splash of Culture.”

Students from both schools connected beyond language and cultural differences through exciting activities, including a Vietnamese spring roll workshop, thrilling sports matches, and a Drone challenge.

To conclude the event, PennSchool presented Oxford Spires Academy’s teachers and students with special gifts showcasing Vietnamese culture. Among them was a one-of-a-kind cultural fusion painting created by PennSchool’s Art Teacher – a memorable keepsake symbolizing this meaningful exchange.

Meeting Adorable Furry Friends Through a Community Service

At the beginning of March, #HomeOfTheEagles had a heartwarming experience at WagWel Feline – Rescue Cat Café, where they had the chance to interact with and care for rescued cats.

Earlier, students successfully raised 2,800,000 VND through their “Ice-Cream for Tails Donation” project by selling ice cream and beverages at school. This donation was presented to WagWel Feline – Rescue Cat Café, reinforcing PennSchool’s spirit of community support and compassion.

Beyond just lending a helping hand, students also gained valuable insights into animal rescue efforts and proper pet care through insightful discussions with the café’s founder. This project not only nurtured empathy and social responsibility but also provided valuable real-world experience, enriching students’ personal portfolios with meaningful community engagement.

Spreading Love & Inspiration on International Women’s Day

March is also a time to celebrate and honor women worldwide. To mark International Women’s Day, #HomeOfTheEagles engaged in meaningful activities, including designing bookmarks with messages on gender equality, discussing future career aspirations, proposing solutions for gender-related challenges, and so on.

PennSchool also joined the UN Women’s campaign on gender equality and women’s empowerment, sharing creative content on Facebook with the hashtags #ForAllWomenAndGirls #PennSchool.

Beyond these initiatives, students took time to express their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible women in their lives – teachers, grandmothers, mothers, and sisters – who serve as guiding lights and sources of inspiration on their journey to success.

These meaningful activities throughout March not only strengthened bonds within the PennSchool community but also instilled important values of empathy, kindness, and global citizenship, equipping students with the confidence to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
