Sports Fest 2025 “Soaring for Glory”: Team Spirit and Unforgettable Highlights

At the end of January 2026, the largest sports event of the academic year – Sports Fest 2025 “Soaring for Glory” – concluded brilliantly with the Finals of football and basketball, leaving many memorable emotions in the hearts of every member of the PennSchool community.

On the field, #HomeOfTheEagles not only showcased their skills and determination but also set the stands ablaze with unexpected breakthrough moments. Behind every long-range shot and every precise layup was the powerful encouragement from friends and parents – an invaluable source of motivation that fueled our young athletes with even greater confidence and energy. Still overwhelmed with emotion as the final whistle blew, Bui Phuong Nghi, a member of Team Barca and champion of the Primary Football Division, excitedly shared: “We hugged each other and cheered loudly across the field in pure joy and happiness. Even in victory, I was truly impressed by the agility and quick reflexes of the Grade 2 players on the pitch. The biggest lesson I learned is never to be complacent and to keep practicing diligently to maintain our composure and achievements. This victory was the most wonderful way for our team to begin the New Year 2026!”

On the basketball court, the atmosphere was just as intense. Nguyen Gia Lac reflected on the journey to the championship title: “On the morning of the basketball competition, we faced a very strong opponent – Class IAP-8A. With confidence, impressive height, and accurate shooting skills, Binh Nguyen scored many points for her team. Facing such a strong competitor, we had to give 200% effort to maintain our lead. From fast breaks to precise three-point shots, every play was the result of seamless teamwork among all members. When our team stepped up to receive the First Prize, I felt incredibly proud that our hard work had paid off. Along with that joy, I reminded myself to continue training consistently to maintain strong performance in future tournaments.

Another highlight that left a strong impression on me was the commentator of the match, Mr. Cuong, a teacher we deeply respect. He is highly knowledgeable about basketball and has an engaging, humorous commentary style. Thanks to his lively narration, both teams competed with even greater excitement and intensity. I hope he will continue to accompany us in future basketball tournaments.”

A special highlight of this year’s season was the enthusiastic support from a large number of parents, which created a warm and spirited atmosphere throughout the event. The images of parents celebrating victories alongside their children or offering encouraging hugs formed a meaningful and heartfelt picture, making this Sports Fest truly memorable and emotionally fulfilling.

More than a competition, Sports Fest 2025 was a journey of growth, helping #HomeOfTheEagles strengthen their physical fitness, enhance health awareness, and cultivate teamwork.
