Eagle Vision: Define the Horizon
Nội dung bài viết
For the academic year 2026 – 2027, PennSchool has chosen “Eagle Vision: Define the Horizon” as the theme of this academic year – an invitation for every student to courageously discover themselves, expand their own horizons, and proactively shape their future.
PennSchool believes that every student has a different journey of growth. Each student has their own interests, abilities, dreams, and pace of development. Therefore, education is not about leading all students toward the same destination, but about continuously encouraging them to discover themselves through diverse and meaningful learning experiences, so they can find the path that is right for them.
Eagle Vision
The eagle has long been a symbol of the PennSchool community. Beyond representing strength and the aspiration to soar higher, the eagle is known for its broad vision, keen observation, courage, and decisiveness as it takes on each journey across the skies. “Eagle Vision,” therefore, is more than just a theme for this academic year; it also reflects the qualities we envision in PennSchool students.
#HomeOfTheEagles are confident learners who explore the world with curiosity and leadership.
#HomeOfTheEagles are global citizens who are ready to embrace change and adapt proactively to an ever-evolving world.
#HomeOfTheEagles are also individuals who carry with them a strong Vietnamese cultural identity while embracing a global mindset to connect with, engage with, and contribute positively to the world around them.
Through the “Eagle Vision” journey, students are encouraged not only to look farther ahead, but also to look more deeply within themselves – to understand who they are, what they believe in, what they want to pursue, and what values they want to create and contribute.
Define the Horizon
“Define the Horizon” serves as a reminder that the future is not a predetermined destination. It is shaped by the choices, experiences, and decisions each student makes today. Therefore, every experience not only helps students build knowledge and skills, but also opens up new perspectives, enabling them to better understand themselves and envision a horizon of their own.
At PennSchool, these opportunities are found within the students’ diverse learning experiences and dynamic school life. Lessons that stimulate critical thinking enable them to view issues from multiple perspectives. Creative projects offer chances to apply knowledge to real-world problem-solving. Competitions encourage them to challenge themselves and push beyond their limits. Meanwhile, community service and international exchange activities provide new experiences that foster resilience, leadership, and a sense of responsibility, while broadening their horizons.
Through these experiences, each student can gradually discover what matters to them, the values they hold dear, and their own potential waiting to be unlocked. “Define the Horizon” does not mean setting a predetermined destination for each student. Instead, it means empowering them to envision, choose, and gradually create the horizon they aspire to.
My Horizon Starts Here
Every student’s horizon does not begin somewhere far away in the future. It begins with what they see, experience, and discover every day at PennSchool.
The School provides an inspiring learning environment where students are heard, encouraged to explore, empowered to develop their individual strengths, and supported by dedicated teachers and a deeply connected learning community. When students are given the opportunity to understand themselves, they learn to overcome their limits, envision the best version of themselves, and shape a future that carries their own unique imprint.
Because a horizon is not something that is given to us. It is something each of us can define for ourselves. And that journey begins at PennSchool.
