In order to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of students and help them discover their potential and self-confidence, PennSchool launched the “Well-Being Workshop Series” in October.
These workshops are facilitated by experts in psychology from the Institute for Psychological Research, Training, and Application (IPRTA).
The first workshop with the theme “Self-Worth Workshop: Uncover Your True Value” was designed for students in Grades 9 – 12. During this session, students explored their self-worth by determining their strengths, weaknesses, and potential.
The workshop was structured as an open conversation between the speakers and the students, providing an opportunity for #HomeOfTheEagles to express their opinions and thoughts while learning from their peers. The questions posed by the experts aimed to encourage active participation and enhance communication skills among the students.
The workshop tailored for Grades 6 & 7 on “Network Safety & Cyberbullying Awareness Workshop” also provided valuable information. The activities in this session offered practical knowledge to help students protect themselves in cyberspace. Through real-life examples, the experts assisted #HomeOfTheEagles in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the potential dangers in the online world.
By sharing their personal thoughts and experiences, #HomeOfTheEagles had the chance to discuss various issues related to online usage. This allowed them to find suitable solutions for specific situations, empowering them to handle threats and maintain their safety in the online environment.
The “Well-Being Workshop Series”, initiated at the beginning of the academic year, is expected to help students stay updated with psychological knowledge. This initiative aims to support their mental well-being and teach them how to balance academics and life. This engaging workshop series will continue in November for the remaining grade levels.
