On August 19, the academic year 2024 – 2025 with the theme “Eagles Soaring to New Heights: Think Bigger, Fly Higher” was officially kicked off with the Back-to-School Ceremony.
Aligned with this academic year’s theme, the PennSchool community is encouraged to step out of their comfort zone, dream big, and constantly persevere in their pursuit of learning and personal growth. The “Eagle” symbol plays an integral part in fostering pride in the PennSchool community, reflecting the strong commitment of the #HomeOfTheEagles to overcoming all challenges, seizing new opportunities, and strengthening leadership in this academic year.
The powerful drumbeats of Mr. Timothy Nelson, the Principal of the American Program, in the Back-to-School Ceremony, marked the beginning of the new academic year. The event was also an opportunity for the #HomeOfTheEagles to hear meaningful wishes from the School Board, interact with and get to know new teachers and classmates, and absorb positive energy to be ready for the challenges ahead. A special gift – the music video based on Katy Perry’s song “Roar,” being rewritten by Mr. Randy Dumlao Bareng – left a lasting impression on all participants.
Following the solemn ceremony at Hoa Binh Theater, the PennSchool community immersed themselves in the Carnival event with various engaging activities. The event was particularly meaningful for Grade 1 students as they had the chance to experience this first event of the academic year alongside their parents.
The new academic year promises to be a dynamic journey of creativity and inspiration, where students are encouraged to freely express themselves, experiment, dream big, and continuously explore.
