Experience to get the excellent AP score

Academic year 2021-2022 is a successful school year for not only ADP 12 students but also PennSchool because they have achieved impressive results in their final school year.
By demonstrating the superior ability, Tran Le Thoai Nhien, ADP 12 has achieved impressive scholarships from prestigious universities in Vietnam and the world:
Depauw University – America (Scholarship – $46,500 per year)
Stevens Institute of Technology – America (Global Scholarship – $40,000 per year)
Indiana University – America (Hoosier Scholarship – $3,000 per year)
Vietnam German University – Vietnam (Scholarship of 100%)
Swinburne University – Vietnam (Scholarship of Academic Excellence – 50%)
To achieve this goal, Thoai Nhien not only strives during the past years, but also participates in many school activities and competitions on-campus and off-campus. In order to increase the competitiveness and prepare for higher studies, Thoai Nhien enrolled in 2 subjects Macroeconomics and Calculus in the Advanced Placement (AP) program and got an excellent score of 5/5. To achieve this, she also has her own secrets.
“For me, to achieve good results in the AP exam, the first thing is to choose subjects that we love, especially if you want to study. Usually, we need one to two semesters to complete the program. Therefore if we are not really interested in it, we will be discouraged because of the long study time and its difficulty.
After choosing subjects, I set a schedule and deadlines to arrange times effectively before the exam date. Of course, there was a time when I could not study AP because of school exams and activities. Luckily, I have a friend who also registered for the AP test and we often spend time studying together during the lunch break. By having a friend who studies with you, you will be more motivated not only in AP study but also other activities.
You cannot be sure to have a high score even though you affirm your knowledge. A week before the test, I have spent time researching free-response questions FRQs and sample answers that the College Board provides. Each type of question will have different criteria therefore I will focus on the distribution of scores, the presentation and “Keywords” that need to have in the candidate’s answers.
Overall, studying and taking the AP exam was an enjoyable experience. I have a chance to learn more difficult knowledge than usual subjects at school, and have been challenged with my discipline and time management ability. AP is not easy, but I hope you will enjoy this experience.”
Recently, grade 12 students have become the school’s alumni. But no matter where they go, PennSchool will always look forward and wish them a successful life.
