What did the teachers prepare for the new school year?

Another new school year is coming. All preparations for the 3rd school year have been performed.

Entering the new school year, teachers will be able to meet and teach new students. In order to inherit and ensure the teaching quality, and update new teaching methods are important steps to prepare for the new school year.

All students are looking forward to the back to school date to meet their teachers and friends. And this is also the general emotion of teachers.

“I and other teachers at Pennschool feel excited and looking forward to the new school year, because we can teach new generations which is our honor. Because we know that “Education is the most powerful weapon that one can use to change the world.”

Because of these responsibilities, I always try to improve myself, not only knowledge, but also new scientific knowledge, methods and new teaching experiences… Then during the school year, I hope to support my students by my responsibility, enthusiasm, passion and love.

To do that, I and other teachers at Pennschool have tried a lot to overcome the difficulties of ourselves, family and school. We also try to constantly cultivate and learn to improve knowledge and skills; improve the attitude, behavior, and moral qualities of teachers.”

Despite having experience as a homeroom teacher of Grade 12, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Huong still prepares her own plan to welcome new students back to school.

“Firstly, I plan to create a friendly learning environment for students which helps them to integrate with their friends. Therefore I plan to coordinate with school departments to organize many activities and help students to maximize their potential. Through that, students can understand each other; which creates a united class, love each other, and progress together…

I have prepared career guidance to support students to get scholarships from Vietnam and foreign universities and choose their future career. I hope that would help them to achieve their dreams in this senior year.”

With teachers, cultivating professional competence is always the most important preparation step.

“2022 – 2023 will be a new school year which requires teachers and students’ efforts. To do it, each teacher knows that we have to try our best to overcome difficulties… Through activities which are scheduled daily and prepared lessons carefully to welcome students back to school.”

To prepare for the new school year, especially for high school students to choose suitable majors, the teachers have participated in many professional training sessions, to ensure that the students have suitable career direction before entering university.

“Firstly, I do research about majors, choosing suitable subjects at high school. The most important thing is that we can support parents with the necessary information for the new school year, as well as guiding the way to choose relevant subjects based on students’ abilities and interests.

In addition, every day, all PennSchool teachers must attend training courses to prepare for this event; prepare new programs such as: Learning Guide, Lesson Plan, … and then post it on the Canvas. Canvas is a new software that supports students in the learning process daily in class.”
