Letter from Board of Principals
Dear PennSchool Community,
As we enter the month of December, a time of celebration, gratitude, and reflection, I am reminded of the remarkable spirit that defines the PennSchool community. This month’s theme, “Season of Kindness, Spirit of Togetherness”, beautifully captures what we have witnessed throughout our campus: students supporting one another, teachers guiding with compassion, and families partnering with us to create a nurturing and joyful learning environment.
Aesop once said, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” These words ring especially true this month as we witnessed remarkable acts of generosity across our community. At the Golden Giving Gala, PennSchool’s student-led art auction in support of the Community Fund “Light Up The Future”, our learners poured their creativity and compassion into meaningful works of art. During this event, our PennSchool Parents also demonstrated generosity and warmth as they placed their bids, contributing wholeheartedly to the cause. Together, these efforts helped raise funds for children in need, reminding us that kindness becomes even more powerful when it is shared. Likewise, our students showed extraordinary empathy as they organized a fundraiser to support families affected by the devastating floods in Central Vietnam. Their willingness to take action for others is a testament to the values we strive to nurture every day.
December also brings many opportunities for our community to come together in celebration. From classroom activities to school-wide events, I have seen our students demonstrate joy, gratitude, and inclusiveness. These moments remind us that kindness is not simply a value we teach; it is a practice we live. When our students laugh together, collaborate with intention, and support classmates who may need a little extra encouragement, they embody the spirit of togetherness that makes PennSchool so special.
As families, your role in nurturing kindness at home is invaluable. Encouraging children to express gratitude, to notice others’ needs, and to contribute positively to their surroundings helps them grow not only as learners but as compassionate human beings. Together, we are shaping a community where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.
As we close out the calendar year, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for each member of our PennSchool community. Thank you for the warmth you bring to our hallways, the trust you place in our team, and the spirit of unity that continues to help our students thrive.
Wishing all of our families a peaceful, joyful, and meaningful holiday season. May this month inspire us all to continue spreading kindness and building the connections that bring out the very best in us.
Warm regards,
Mr. Timothy Nelson
Principal of the American Program and Academic Director
