December of Love from #HomeOfTheEagles

In December, PennSchool students came together to celebrate International Animal Rights Day through Spirit Day events and embraced a warm Christmas season with a series of engaging activities.

With the theme “Protecting Animals: Our Superpower!” the #HomeOfTheEagles demonstrated their love for animals through practical actions during Spirit Day. Specifically, students dressed in animal-themed outfits to spread the message of protecting these adorable creatures. Additionally, they donated food and items to support abandoned pets being cared for at the Law for Paws Vietnam and Lucky Shelter animal rescue stations. Furthermore, the #HomeOfTheEagles Elementary School students participated in a poster drawing challenge with the theme of International Animal Rights Day. High School students also participated by designing magazine covers during their ICT class. Through these practical actions, students understood the vital role animals play in the natural world, especially in maintaining ecological balance. The month of December at PennSchool became warmer as everyone unitedly expressed their love for animals in this meaningful event.

In the chilly weather of the last month of the year, the PennSchool community welcomed a warm Christmas season with the theme “Snowflakes Castle Christmas Fair: Uncover the Magic!” featuring various fun activities during the Christmas Festival and Market Fair. To kick off this festival, students sent letters with adorable wishes to Santa Claus and eagerly anticipated him to “magically” turn those wishes into reality. Seeing their academic diligence and notable achievements, Santa Claus fulfilled the children’s wishes by unexpectedly appearing at PennSchool to play games, watch movies, and distribute exciting gifts. Additionally, the #HomeOfTheEagles eagerly engaged in gift exchange games, exchanged cards with classmates, and learned about Christmas through Student Council news.

Particularly at the Christmas Fair, students together decorated cookies and made snow globes, enjoyed lively performances, and participated in quiz games. Additionally, the #HomeOfTheEagles at the Market Fair enjoyed memorable experiences savoring exquisite food and drinks and collecting souvenir gifts. Moreover, they contributed to sharing this warmth with people in the highlands by donating the proceeds from the Christmas Fair to the “Light Up the Future” Community Fund to support the “Yen Bai – For a Brighter Tomorrow” Community Project.

Through Spirit Day events and the Christmas festival, the #HomeOfTheEagles have learned valuable lessons, preserved precious memories with friends and teachers, and taken practical actions to make valuable contributions to the community. PennSchool wishes the students a warm and memorable holiday season with their families.
