The election for the Student Council leadership positions has ended and the “leaders” are gradually revealed after the election results are announced.
As a member of Student Council, #HomeOfTheEagles will represent students to participate in the school community, to organize interesting activities and projects during the school year. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for members of the Student Council to develop leadership skills and act as a bridge between the school and all its students.
The election was lively in the classrooms, promotional posters, videos performed by the candidates themselves were shared as well as an opportunity for the candidates to express themselves and for you to vote for the candidates. me.
With Lam Gia Lac – ADP11A, even though this is the second time she ran for Student Council, her emotions are still complex. To become the Vice President, Gia Lac also had her private way to run for this election as other candidates.
“I was running for the president position at the student council. It was a risky move, and I could not help but wonder whether I would make it to the list, since the position is highly competitive. While planning for my campaign, I had a brilliant idea: a campaign alliance, in which my friend and I could cooperate, and work together to convince other students to vote for us.
We went to every class to present our ideals, to answer every question that the students have, all while noting down their constructive criticism. With the permission from the Board of Principals, we were allowed to print our handmade posters on the bulletin board all around campus. Despite the initial struggles, our idea has received a lot of support and encouragement from other students.”
As one of the candidates registered to the leadership of Student Council, even though he did not achieve the position he intended to run for, Nguyen Van Minh – ADP11A still determined his responsibility as a secretary.
“Firstly, I would like to thank all my teachers and students who trusted me and gave me a chance to become a Secretary in Student council. Today is not a day to celebrate this result, but will be the beginning of a journey of self-worth for PennSchool’s community. I will fulfill my responsibility seriously and effectively. This is an opportunity for me to support all students at PennSchool where I treasure, also an opportunity for us to have fun together. Through the encouragement of my classmates, I decided to apply for The Vice President. During the launch, I had a lot of fun, when I went to classes and persuaded students to vote for me or hung posters around the school. When the voting time came, I was anxiously waiting for the result. I also went around and asked others about their choice. As a candidate for Vice President, I hope to improve all students’ learning experiences, however I could not get this position. This result does not make me disappointed or lost, this is good news because we can see someone who has a better vision than me in this position and we can put our faith in. But this does not prevent me from supporting all of you. In my new position as a Secretary, I will continue to contribute and improve all students’ experience with other members in the Student Council.”
With new positions in the Student Council, we hope that nominees will fulfill your duties and responsibilities to build up the PennSchool’s community.
