Letter from the Board of Principals
Greetings, PennSchool Community! As the vibrant spirit of spring begins to touch everything around us, I am thrilled to share the highlights of March and a very special upcoming event in April. This month, our core value of Inquisitiveness has truly come to life, illuminating our school with curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge.
March has been bustling with activities that embrace this spirit. From the enriching exchange with Bourne End Academy students, offering a glimpse into the academic life in the UK, to the intellectual rigor of the Debate Elite Tournament, our students have showcased their eagerness to learn and grow. The adventure to the Amazing Bay and Suoi Tien Cultural Park, and the challenge of our Quarter 3 exams have further tested and proven the resilience and curiosity of our young scholars.
Amidst these enriching experiences, the preparation for our much-anticipated School Year Exhibition on April 5 has been underway, promising to be a showcase of creativity, innovation, and the inquisitive spirit that defines PennSchool. Our students from various grades have been working tirelessly on projects that are not only a testament to their hard work but also to the diverse talents within our school.
Imagine stepping into a world where the boundaries of science and creativity blur – a place where hydraulic robot arms move with precision, model solar-powered houses light up with the promise of renewable energy, and the students’ greenhouse project blooms with possibilities. Our younger students have delved into environmental advocacy through “A World for the Lorax,” designing model environments that speak to the urgent need for sustainability.
The ambition of our projects scales with our students’ age, from laser keychains that marry design with technology, to a moving ferris wheel that illuminates the principles of physics in the most playful manner. The exploration of history and literature through creative expressions, such as geometric dioramas inspired by Dante’s Inferno and analytical essays on “Fahrenheit 451,” reveals the depth of our students’ engagement with their studies.
This year’s exhibition is not just a display; it’s a journey through the realms of imagination, innovation, and inquiry. It’s where theoretical knowledge meets practical application, and where our students’ projects – from kinetic sculptures to interactive posters on solving equations – demonstrate their understanding and creativity.
We cordially invite all Parents and the PennSchool community to join us on April 5 to celebrate the achievements of our students. It will be a day to marvel at their projects, ranging from the artistic interpretations in canvas paintings and ceramics to the cutting-edge exploration in 3D and laser-cut objects. This exhibition embodies our mission and vision, showcasing our students’ commitment to developing as integral individuals equipped to navigate and contribute to a globalized world.
Your support and enthusiasm for these young learners and innovators mean the world to us and to them. Let’s come together to applaud their hard work, curiosity, and the bright future they are building through their inquisitiveness.
Here’s to a March filled with discovery and anticipation for an inspiring exhibition in April. Thank you for your continued support of our PennSchool community’s journey of learning and growth.
Warm regards,
Mr. Tim Nelson – AP Principal
