Journey to get impressive scholarships of wellknown universities

Nội dung bài viết

Learning journey at PennSchool will end soon with ADP12 students. However, this is also their important milestone of growth and opens their career path in the future.

In the learning path, students have got the first achievements when getting high scholarships from well known universities in Vietnam and in the world. To do it, #Houseofeagles at ADP12 have learned hardly and represented confidently their talents at the international competitions during their learning time at PennSchool. Since then, they can show the university their experiences through the personal statement, and show their impressive awards in the profile for the applying scholarship process.

With the excellent achievements during the school years, Ho Le Khanh Nguyen ADP12 has achieved many valuable scholarships:

    • Union College – American (Union College Grant of $52,000 per year)
    • Vietnamese German University – Vietnam (Scholarship of 50%)
    • Swinburne University of Technology, Australia – Vietnam (Scholarship of Merits – 40%)

To get these scholarships, Khanh Nguyen has a preparation process and withdraws experiences.

“First of all, start early. I can’t stress this enough, because starting early to me is the single most important thing to the whole college application process, now that I’ve come out of it with more failure than success. I started preparing for college application quite late and had always wished to have more time to prepare if I were to start over again. If you’re truly ambitious and want some actual good results, don’t wait until your senior year, because by then, you will be overwhelmed by not only college applications, but also schoolwork, projects, and tons of other things that appear out of nowhere.

Especially with students who have a plan to study abroad, Khanh Nguyen advises that they should find out and prepare as soon as possible and they can register to their dream university as well as achieve the best scholarships.

“Of course, you don’t need to be too worried about it if you’re still a freshman or a sophomore, but start thinking about what country you want to go to and why, and do some basic research on what exactly you need to apply to a university there. If you want to study abroad in the US like where I’m going, for example, then maybe now is a good time to start studying for the SAT, taking the test, doing extracurricular activities, and of course, keep working hard to maintain a good GPA through the years. I’m sure you’ll be able to figure out the details for applying with the help of Mr.Hiep and the internet just fine, so it really all comes down to the fact that you start preparing as early as possible to help reduce the stress and workload before entering senior year.”

In the applying process, students can cope with unexpected results. However, there are many roads for you to choose as Khanh Nguyen’s advice.

“Second of all, learn to be content with the result, whatever it may be. This probably only applies directly to the class of 2023, but I think it would really help just anyone at all if you come into the process with this mentality. My application year was an especially harsh one, and it took me a long time to accept the results without feeling bad about myself, although some good news actually did come afterward. Whatever came out in the end, I hope you’ll learn that it only reflects your actual ability and potential to a certain extent. You also still have a long way to go, and your college decision is definitely not the end of the road. Senior year is going to be a busy one with college applications, but it’s also the last year that you’ll have in high school with your friends. That’s why I hope that you can start early, because then hopefully you will have a little more time to enjoy yourself.”

“Depending on where you want to study and the road that you choose to take, it’s going to be easier for some and harder for others, and despite what I said, you’re all going to be stressed nonetheless. But I hope that with this advice, together with your incredible effort and hard work, you can achieve some good results, and be proud of yourself as you graduate from high school and enter the next chapter of your life. And I wish all of you the very best!”
