After nearly 2 months of launching the “Logo House System Contest”, the chosen designs have finally been revealed and will become the official Logo House in this school year 2021-2022.
Going through many evaluation rounds including creativity, originality, aesthetic design, meaningful description and online voting; 4 final logos have been revealed. Each candidate has their own design ideas and also different emotions when their logos are chosen.
The chosen House Logo for the Ventus belongs to Hoang Tran Binh Minh – ADP 9. When knowing her design was chosen, Binh Minh also had her own feelings:
“…To be honest, I did not decide to join at first, however, thinking about all the opportunities, challenges and chances that came with this contest changed my mind. The opportunities to express my ability in design, the challenges to improve myself, and the chance to become one of four authors of Pennchool House’s logo. That was the reason why I signed my name on the path of finding the logo winner…. And That was a beautiful day. I was shocked when I saw my logo on our school Facebook. I passed the first round !!!. Approximately two week later, I still did not hear any information about the winner. In addition, seeing all the fantastic logos of the other students, the hope of being the winner in my mind slowly faded away. Suddenly one day, my hopeless dream came true. In the assembly of October, Mr. John said that he had the result for the logo contest. There were no words that could describe how happy I was at that moment, when the teacher showed my logo and said my name out loud. I could not believe my eyes as well as my ears. I am one of the authors of Pennsylvania American International School’s House System logo!!!!!! Nevertheless, I think that the thing that makes me even more happy is the applause and congratulations from my family, my teachers, and my sweet buddies…”
Logo House of Terra belongs to Nguyen Quoc Hanh Nguyen – Class B9 and she also had worries when participating in the contest and was happy when her design was chosen.
“… I was nervous because I didn’t know if I could win because I thought there was a lot of competition but I still did my best and designed a logo that I think is beautiful in my eyes. When I submitted the logo to my homeroom teacher, I felt a bit nervous and a little self-deprecating because I was afraid it wouldn’t look good in everyone’s eyes, but she complimented that my logo was very beautiful and my friends say the same thing, it gave me a lot of happiness and motivation to win. During the time waiting for the results, I felt frustrated because I waited so long and also felt a little nervous because I didn’t know if I could win or not. And then everything did not disappoint me, my logo was chosen to represent Terra, I feel very happy and proud of what I am achieving, I show it off to my friends, teachers, relatives and they all say: “wow your logo is so beautiful, you are so good!!”, that makes me so happy, thanks in part to everyone who voted and cared about my art that I was able to win that day, really thank you for what you all did for me…”
Unlike other students, Pham Bao Han of class B10 with Logo House of Ignis, was very excited and confident when she had the opportunity to participate in this contest. “…When I knew about this contest, I was confident that my design would be amazing and be loved. Because I love to be creative. I even assured my family and friends about my winning chance. On the day when the results were announced, when I heard that I had received the award, I felt very happy and proud of myself. Since then, I believe in myself more. Through this contest, I realized that: we should have faith, especially in ourselves…”
For ADP 11A classmate Phung Lan Anh, the inspiration from the Aqua house, the love of art and the admiration for Bruce Lee created inspiration and brought success to Lan Anh’s design.
“…Most of us would know Bruce Lee, he is my motivation and inspired by his most famous philosophical quote:
Be Water, My Friend.
Empty your mind.
Be formless, shapeless, like water.
You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup.
You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle.
You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Now water can flow or it can crash.
Be water, my friend
To be honest, I did not expect to win any competition. I just want to do what I like as best as I can. Luckily, the effort being out is worth it. There is no word that can express my feeling right now. Because I believed that the goal of the competition is not winning, but for what you can take after it.
I was amazed to win something. But it is more impressive to see everyone wearing my printed design.”
Each design has its own stories and shows each House’s characteristics. This contest is an opportunity for PennSchool students to show their talents, aesthetic thinking and share their interesting ideas. Once again, PennSchool would like to congratulate chosen students and hope that you will continue to participate in the upcoming activities.
