Let’s Explore the Magical World of Books
In November, PennSchool students enthusiastically participated in Book Week with many meaningful activities. The event provided opportunities for them to explore numerous new literary works, engage with books in various manners, and understand the values that books bring.
During the first week, the #HomeOfTheEagles Elementary School students came together to participate in the Reading Circle, where they read books in tents and exchanged thoughts on interesting books. Additionally, they shared their favorite stories in their unique ways with friends and teachers, fostering mutual understanding. Not only did they discover many valuable and entertaining works, but they also had the opportunity to spread ideas and lessons learned from books.
The #HomeOfTheEagles High School students also had an engaging and creative book week. Here, they created outstanding stories about the special moments of their daily lives, highlighting small but impactful actions or precious lessons they learned from personal experiences. In addition to storytelling, they showcased their talents through a bookmark design competition and participated in the entertaining game of “Guess the teacher’s favorite book” along with other enjoyable activities.
In addition to individual activities, the #HomeOfTheEagles actively participated in creative group activities such as designing book covers and costumes for characters in the play, writing or illustrating their favorite stories, and designing formex boards based on notable books or artworks. The students demonstrated their creativity and made impressive works of art.
The Book Week provided an opportunity for #HomeOfTheEagles to find joy in reading, fostering positive habits to expand knowledge and enhance their creative and imaginative skills. Moreover, it allowed them to connect with like-minded friends, sharing meaningful literary works.
